Mashups for Recovery Transparency

On Monday April 27, 2009, the Recovery Accountability and Transparency Board and the Office of Management and Budget in partnership with the National Academy of Public Administration asked the public for innovative ways to make Recovery.gov a useful portal for tracking and displaying recovery data from thousands of federal, state, and local entities.

Enterprise Mashups are the most secure, dynamic technology available today to deliver actionable, real-time recovery information to policy-makers and the public. The video tour and live mashup demonstrations below are based upon publically available Recovery information harvested from various government agency web sites combined with other public and private data sources. We have developed prototypes using HUD and Treasury data but we could easily develop prototypes using the publicly available reports from any government agency.
