What kind of things NEED to be done via API instead of visually?

Visual mashup creation is powerful but has it's limits when it's comes to or the newer destination formats (iPhone, widgets, etc.). That's why we have both a visual mashup creator and a 'Studio' (an Eclipse plugin).
