Presto Mashup Server

IE8 grossly incompatible with something - probably Ext

I have created some mashlets based on the samples for inter-mashlet communication. This uses ServiceStore to load data into a GridPanel. Everything is working as expected in Firefox, Safari, Opera and Chrome. IE is a dismal failure. 1) Clicking a grid row in IE causes 2 rowclick events to fire. Both events have the same target. mashlet event subscriptions - can't add or remove "eventSubscriptions"

OK, I'm perplexed. Hopefully someone can explain what I'm seeing here in Presto Developer Edition...

Short Version: I have a custom mashlet that is subscribed to an event and responds correctly. I want to ADD an additional event to this mashlet, or CHANGE the event it responds to. So far, no matter how I have edited mashlets.json, the mashlet insists on staying subscribed to the one event I originally set it up for.

What do I have to do to change the event subscriptions? [Read More...]

Error creating the PrestoClientApplication - '0.id' is null or not an object

I installed Presto, started the repository, started the mashup server, entered my license key, and then logged in.  I get an error dialog that says "Error creating the PrestoClientApplication - '0.id' is null or not an object".

This is under IE8, the only browser allowed by my employer.

What does this error mean?

MS SQL Server JDBC - doesn't recognize nvarchar columns in source when Publishing Database Service

Posted 06/16/2010 - 17:29 by glenn.adams

So I just installed the JDBC Driver for MS SQL Server.  Relatively straight forward to get Presto hooked up with a new Driver and DataSource.  Now I want to publish a Database Service using an existing database and add a custom Finder as shown in the Training Video ( http://www.jackbe.com/enterprise-mashup/videos/mashup-fundamentals-unit-3-2 ) .

Click the "DB" button in Service Explorer to create a new Database Service

Select the Datasource I created above

Select the 'dbo' schema - I see a tabbed list of Tables, Views and Procedures [Read More...]

Mashup Security - Drinking Wine Without the Hangover

I’m an architect and application layer security guy specializing in enterprise application development. After 20 years in the software security industry, you start to see a lot of the “same old wine in a shiny new bottle”, as my friend and co-author of “Core Security Patterns”, Ramesh Nagappan puts it. Not all the features is accesible

Posted 06/04/2010 - 11:54 by dd

Hi

I have downloaded the developer version of Presto, but I dont have some features that I see in the documentation for example in the mashboard, I dont have a share option, is it s version issue, or is it because I have the develop edition?

And is the developer edition trial, I mean I didnt see any time warning but in the web page it is advertised like trial developer edition?

Thanks

Mashboard - Connecting mashlets

Hi

I am trying Presto lately, but I couldnt find any documentation how to connect mashlets in mashboard.

For example; I would like to show a grid of data and which ever row is selected I would like to send the address cell of grid to yahoo mahps and show on the map or things like that.

Can someone explain me how to wire mashlets I created. I put the user input tool in the mashup but user input is not set programmatically only I can enter manually then the  mashlet is updated but it is not what I want.

Can someone help?

Thanks

Black Screen after entering Presto license

I was able to Install Presto and enter the license in http://localhost:8080/presto/license.jsp

When I press home it takes me to a black screen (Login to Presto Mashup server). I noticed that the page has a JavaScript error stating 'console' is undefined.

I repeated the setup a couple of times but I keep getting the same error.

Any thoughts?
