Presto 2.7 is here!

Easier, Safer Enterprise Mashups

The Spring 2009 Edition of Presto 2.7 is now available for download. The enhanced features of Presto 2.7 makes mashups easier and safer to use by allowing a broader group of business users to visually create mashups quickly and safely.  Major enhancements to Presto 2.7 include:

• a more intuitive, user-focused update of Wires, the Presto Visual Mashup Composer, for easier mashup creation,
• improved Mashup Macros in Wires, letting you add custom mashup transformations that do what you want them to,
• security enhancements that detect and deny malicious code from public data sources, for safer mashups,
• extended browser support, including IE6, IE7, Firefox 3.0, and the Safari 4 Beta, making mashup creation even more accessible.

We want to thank all the Community Members that participated in the Wires 2.7 Beta Program.  The feedback we got from Mike, Martin, Robert, Rich and the rest of beta crew helped us make Presto 2.7 into an even better release.  Props to all of them.

You can get Presto 2.7 from the Download page.  And you'll want to get a 2.7 License Key as well.  To get a 2.7 License Key, go to the 'Your Account' page (there's a link labeled 'View Your Account' in the left-hand sidebar), click on the 'JackBe licenses' tab, and then click on the subtab that says 'Request New License':

Your license will be emailed to you immediately.  It's also stored permanently in the 'Licenses' subtab (along with every other license you've ever recieved).

Also, we've started a ‘Share your Mashup Macro’ contest.  You can share your Mashup Macros, win prize money, and perhaps even get your Mashup Macros included in the next edition of Presto.  All the details are on the Share-Your-Mashup-Macro Contest page.
